Codename: Action isn't your mama's Cold War. No, this is a Cold War dialed up to 11. There are sexy -- and competent! -- ladies in skintight catsuits. There are sexy, speedy convertibles. There are even sexy ray guns. With this first issue, writer Chris Roberson hits a few notes that are likely to feel a tad old hat to anyone with a passing familiarity of the Super Sexy Cold War Spy genre. It's a fun read, to be sure, but one must admit that it's all very Bond-esque. Thankfully, Roberson doesn't simply rest on a tried and true plot to liven up his story; he adds a dash of caped crusader to keep things fresh.
