All of us watching the Breaking Bad episode "To'hajiilee" last week were thinking the same thing when it ended, which was some variation of, "AHHHH!" Yes, things were looking notably dire for Jesse, Hank and Gomez, as Todd, Uncle Jack and a bunch of their Neo-Nazi pals showed up with some very serious firepower.
Breaking Bad: "To'hajiilee" Review
With only three episodes of Breaking Bad left, and the need to still catch up to those flashforwards, it's almost certainly the end for at least one of the characters listed above. But who? Gomez is the most expendable, given he's a recurring character, who isn't crucial to the story. But with so little time left, really anyone could go - and as many have noted, the end of that episode certainly played like a goodbye for Hank. He'd managed to catch Walt redhanded, essentially ending his arc this season (and really for the series) and had a heartfelt phone call with Marie. Hard not to see this as his time to go. Or could Jesse be on his way out, finally brought down by the violent world he was never really cut out for? It's hard to believe that Jesse goes out this way -- his journey seems like one we'll follow into the final episode, along with Walt's -- but you never know.
