Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has weighed in on Edgar Wright's sudden departure from Marvel's Ant-Man film, saying neither party is right or wrong for the breakup.
On Facebook, Gunn (Slither) wrote a post about Wright exiting Ant-Man, comparing the Cornetto Trilogy filmmaker and Marvel as two of his friends who just don't work together in a relationship. "Sometimes you have friends in a relationship," Gunn wrote. "You love each of them dearly as individuals. ... When they talk to you about their troubles, you do everything you can to support them, to keep them together. ... But little by little you realize, at heart, they aren't meant to be together — not because there's anything wrong with either of them, but they just don't have personalities that mesh in a comfortable way.
