Inhuman #1 Review

Inhuman is one of those comics where the reader needs to take extra care not to let external factors influence their opinion. It's been among Marvel's most hyped new books since it was announced last year. It's artist Joe Madureira's most significant Marvel project since The Ultimates 3. It's been the victim of significant delays and creative turmoil as original writer Matt Fraction departed over creative differences and was replaced by Charles Soule. Is there any hope of Inhuman #1 actually living up to the hype and meeting all expectations?


Not really, no. There's potential in this new series for a memorable and engaging reinvention of the Inhumans mythos, but issue #1 is too slow-moving and limited in scope to really capitalize on that potential.
