Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft on iPad took its first step in a global roll-out today, launching in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. We've spent a few hours with it, and fans will be pleased to hear that it’s very much the same game. In almost every way, in fact.
Mac/PC players can simply log-in with their existing Battle.net account to have instant access to all their cards, decks, gold, dust, friends and progress, whether that’s their ranking on the ladder or their standing in the Arena.

Matchmaking works in exactly the same way too, and because it’s all built on a common technology platform, you won’t ever even know whether that Hunter you’re facing is on a Mac, an iPad or a PC. As an extension to this you can also – obviously – challenge friends to a game regardless of the platform they’re playing on. It’s also kind of cool seeing friends playing Reaper of Souls - or other Blizzard titles - while you’re logged in to Hearthstone on iPad.
