Nintendo will not host a booth, exhibit or game panel at PAX East this year, marking the first time ever the company has skipped the gaming convention.
The lack of Nintendo's presence at PAX East was first reported by Nintendo World Report, which confirmed the information with a company representative. Nintendo of America also further elaborated on its decision to miss the convention in a prepared statement: "Interacting directly with our fans and letting them play our games firsthand is a key component of our approach. That doesn’t include PAX East this year, but we will offer our fans a variety of opportunities to get their hands on Nintendo products in 2014."
