Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia is delayed a few more weeks because of a short holdup in the regulatory approval process.
Brad Smith, general counsel and executive vice president of legal and corporate affairs at Microsoft, detailed the delay for the Nokia acquisition on The Official Microsoft Blog. "We are nearing the final stages of our global regulatory approval process — to date we have received approvals from regulatory authorities in 15 markets on five continents," he wrote. "Currently, we are awaiting approval confirmation in the final markets. ... We expect to close next month, in April 2014."
