Naoki Yoshida, director of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, recently gave a fascinating glimpse into the rebirth of Final Fantasy XIV and how it was transformed from a "monstrous failure" into what's now an incredibly successful MMO. He explained that a multitude of factors contributed to the downfall of the original, and how the road to redemption wasn't exactly easy.
