Note: Full spoilers for the Da Vinci's Demons: Season 2 premiere follow.
Well, that was a big ball of frenetic energy from beginning to end. The fallout from the Pazzi and Vatican plot to overthrow the Medici family, which concluded Season 1, ripped right through the Season 2 premiere with little time to catch one’s own breath. “The Blood of Man” achieves quite a lot considering it has to juggle the outcome of Season 1 while also paving the way for the narrative that lies ahead, with just enough time for Leonardo da Vinci to show us how clever he is. Da Vinci may have his name in the title but it was his friends and enemies who were the focal point of Season 2’s bombastic premiere.
