It looks like Apple may be looking to expand its digital music offerings beyond the iTunes Music Store and iTunes Radio. According to Billboard, Apple has reportedly begun talks with label executives to deliver a Spotify-like on-demand music streaming service. The company is allegedly also considering bringing its iTunes app to Android.
Apple's new approach is said to be a reaction to a double-digit decline in sales through the iTunes Music Store. The sale of digital music in the United States has decreased in general, while streaming services have seen an increase in revenues, with companies like Spotify, Pandora, and YouTube leading the pack.
