Did you know there was a demonic counterpart to Santa Claus that goes around punishing naughty children? Apparently that is a thing and it’s called Krampus and it’s got a funny accent. At least according to this new series from Brian Joines and Dean Kotz, that is. The synopsis is that someone has stolen the magical power source of the Secret Society of Santa Clauses -- a league of Santas from all over the world -- and they must release the Krampus from its prison to recover it lest they be rendered powerless and reindeer will fall from the sky. I don’t know what made me pick this book up but I’m glad I did. It’s devilishly fun with dark humor and creative concepts, plus it’s the perfect holiday gift for your best comic-reading bud.
