When choosing which event tie-ins to read, it's usually a safe bet to go with whichever books are being written by the same writer as the main event. Justice League is certainly bearing out that rule of thumb during Forever Evil. This really is the ideal sort of tie-in comic. It isn't required reading in terms of understanding the events of Forever Evil, but it does enhance and expand that story to a degree that there's really no reason not to be reading it.
