With work underway on Star Wars Rebels, the new animated series, a new behind-the-scenes video has been released, focused on executive producer Greg Weisman. Weisman's rightfully lauded resume includes his series Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man and Young Justice. On Rebels, Weisman is collaborating with fellow executive producers Dave Filoni, the supervising director on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and screenwriter Simon Kinberg, who is working on one of the upcoming live-action standalone Star Wars films.
In the video, Weisman discusses the timeframe of Rebels and the approach to the series and his own Star Wars preferences - from favorite movie to favorite character.
Star Wars Rebels is set to debut fall 2014 with a one-hour premiere on Disney Channel, before weekly half-hour episodes begin airing on Disney XD.
