Jack Black Gives Comic-Con Goosebumps

It was the return of Goosebumps and the attack of the retro arcade games at Sony’s Comic-Con panel today in San Diego. Jack Black, who stars as Goosebumps author R. L. Stine, and director Rob Letterman (Shark Tale, Gulliver's Travels) were on hand to talk about their upcoming adaptation of the classic Scholastic book series. And helmer Chris Columbus (Harry Potter, Home Alone, Adventures in Babysitting, the list goes on…) also piped in with a video greeting regarding Pixels, which stars Adam Sandler as a former arcade champ who is the only one who can save the world in a pixelated alien attack.


Columbus, who is still shooting the film, said it’s too early to show any footage -- though a gag bit was played with Josh Gad (a Gad gag) running from a creature from Centipede… which turned out to only be a tennis ball on a stick -- but he did announce a contest which will give fans a chance to play a cameo role in the movie. He also reminded everyone that there’s a Pixels arcade here at Comic-Con full of classic games.
