Like all of Marvel's 100th Anniversary Specials, this issue imagines what an Avengers comic might be like 100 years after the franchise debuted. If this comic is any indication, the world of 2063 is going to be a strange place. As with the two Strange Tales mini-series, the real purpose of the 100th Anniversary series is to bring in creators who don't normally work on Marvel books. And while I'm sure Orc Stain fans would rather James Stokoe focus on finishing the next issue, he proves to be an ideal fit for the concept.
