This week brings about the final pair of 3D Classics with the side-scrolling action game Shinobi III and the beat-’em-up Streets of Rage. Also, Knytt Underground, a well-received indie platformer, makes the leap to the Wii U eShop alongside Castlevania on the Virtual Console. Crash ‘n the Boys hits the 3DS Virtual Console alongside a few other original games and demos, including Banana Bliss: Jungle Puzzles and Winter Sports - Feel the Spirit. Lastly, Little Inferno has a sale, so if you missed that launch Wii U game, now would be a great time to check it out.
3D Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master ($5.99)
3D Shinobi III puts players once again in control of Joe Musashi as he fights against Shadow Master, his very own evil ninja clone, and Neo Zeed. It’s a side-scrolling action game that originally debuted in 1993 and is actually the seventh game in the series, following arcade, Master System, Genesis, and Game Gear games. The 3D version adds a bevy of emulation options and a stage select mode.
