Peggle is the type of game that you can pick up for five minutes and get sucked in for hours due to its simple goal: hit all the orange pegs on a board, score points, and get rewarded with sensational fanfare. It's a wonderful formula, and Peggle 2 doesn't sway too far from the original idea. Instead, there are a couple of new Masters, a few additional game features, and everything is more beautiful and silly than in the original. A recent hands-on only reminded me how much I love this series.
The goal in Peggle 2 is the same as in the first iteration: use 10 balls to hit every orange peg on a board filled with blue pegs and other obstacles. The free ball bucket is back as well, as are purple pegs that increase your score multiplier. Basically, if you played the first one, you'll feel right at home.
