Actor Ben Whishaw (Skyfall) has signed on to replace Colin Firth (Kingsman: The Secret Service) as the voice of Paddington Bear in the upcoming animated film that features the universe's most endearing, polite, duffle coat-wearing, hat-totting bear around.
According to Mail Online, Firth knew early on that he wasn't right for the role, which the filmmakers noticed later in the production, when they ultimately decided the Oscar-winning actor's voice was "too mature." The site calls Firth's departure from the animated film a "conscious uncoupling."
