Injustice: Year Two continues to build towards the big showdown between Superman's forces and the Green Lantern Corps. If the two chapters collected in this issue are any indication, it won't be long now. Especially so now that the digital chapters have switched back to a weekly release. Double the Injustice is certainly a good thing, though the increased shipping speed takes its toll on the visual side of the equation.
The first chapter features the usual team of writer Tom Taylor and artist Bruno Redondo. The story jumps ahead seven months here and divides fairly evenly between Sinestro's efforts to convince the JLA of his trustworthiness and Black Canary giving birth to her child. Sinestro's scheme is amusingly transparent, though effective, and allows Taylor to briefly bring Despero into the fold. Canary's subplot is a bit meatier in terms of drama. And any opportunity to bring Harley Quinn into the forefront of the book is worth taking. Redondo's clean, elegant style really brings the Canary/Harley scenes to life.
