As you likely know by now, FOX has ordered the new series Gotham, which will focus on a younger James Gordon in his pre-GCPD commissioner days, working as a detective. There are so many unanswered questions we have about the upcoming show -- which will NOT feature Batman in it -- such as just how young will this Jim Gordon be? Is he a more seasoned veteran in his mid-30s to early 40s who is perhaps a sergeant but not a lieutenant? Or is he a twenty-something cop who has just earned his detective's gold shield in the Gotham City Police Department?
We'll be exploring many of the questions around Gotham in future features, but for now we'll offer up this wish list of actors in their 20s to early 40s who would actually be able to star in the show. As pragmatic as we're being with this list, though, the reality is that the lead role of Gordon will likely be played by some relatively unknown actor.
