The newly release international trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hit the interwebs today. It’s cut a little differently and features some new footage from its domestic counterpart. It also does away with Jamie Foxx’s “world without power” monologue:
This version of the trailer has a decidedly less ominous tone than the more serious U.S. version, though it still delivers plenty of action when the bad guys show up. It focuses much more on Spidey’s trademark sense of humor, devoting a huge chunk of time to goofy scenes like a costumed Peter vaulting into bed Ferris Bueller-style as Aunt May enters his room. To squeeze in all those gags, the international trailer completely removes any trace of the Richard Parker/Oscorp conspiracy subplot.
