The Superior Foes of Spider-Man #2 Review

SMFOES2013002-DC11-LR-fd581-674x1024 Hawkeye has officially opened the door for more down-to-Earth, adult, atypical superhero stories, and The Superior Foes of Spider-Man is the first title to join it in the sun. Given the amount of drinking, cursing, and sex jokes within, this book wouldn’t be a bad fit for Marvel’s R-rated MAX line, yet by balancing out that hard edge with a healthy dose of humor and some censors, it manages to fit comfortably in Hawkeye’s little corner of the Marvel Universe. Nick Spencer proves the hilarious opening chapter was no fluke by continuing on Boomerang’s wayward adventures with his Sinister Five... er, Six.
