Sidekick #1 Review

sidekick01-covera-6b732-665x1024 Sidekick is a deconstruction of the superhero comic. J. Michael Straczynski gleefully announces his hatred for teenage sidekicks in the back of the issue, promising readers that our title character will be dragged through utter misery as the series progresses. If that's your thing, maybe you'll enjoy Sidekick #1. Of course, you could just pick up one of the several other, better comic book series that have tackled superheroes in the same manner. This isn't exactly new ground and it's not doing much to warrant its existence. We've seen this all before and, so far, we have seen it done better.
