Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will include a Boss Mode exclusive to Xbox One and SmartGlass. Using a tablet, players will be able to view maps from a tactical, overhead angle and act as a field general against another players controlling the single units in a third-person shooter.
This announcement comes alongside the news that Fable Legends will allow a 5th player to play the role of a dungeon master and coordinate the movement, placement, and attacks of the enemy troops. If that's the future of multiplayer, sign me up.
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is set to sprout in Spring 2014 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
