Can somebody tell me why a gullwing type boat is supposedly better than a Vbottom? My question is, when you take off from a standing stop a gullwing type boat has way more area touching the water than a V bottom (which equals slower from a dig). Once they get going they both become a Vbottom in perspective. I understand the gullwing type will pack air but that takes mile an hour until that really takes affect. Is a Gullwing type that much better? and why? Or is it a Fad? enlighten me.
