Marvel Comics Director of Communications Arune Singh led the large panel of Spider-writers, including Kevin Shinnick, Christos Gage, Nick Spencer, James Robinson, and Chris Yost. Artists Humberto Ramos and Chris Samnee were also on the panel. But the mastermind of the Superior franchise, Dan Slott, was not present.
Starting off with talk about Superior Spider-Man, frequent co-writer Gage said that it's awesome to write him because it's so easy to get into his head because he does whatever he thinks is right. Wacker pointed out that Ock is using his super villain tropes – like heading a team of villains – for good instead of evil.
Black Cat will be coming into the book, which will lead into a very monumental issue #20. Wacker said, “Issue #20 is the issue Dan has been talking about. This will be as big as when he was talking about issue #698.”
