This issue of Guardians of the Galaxy essentially just showcases Angela and Gamora kicking ass, which is in no way a bad thing. The conversations that happen occur while heads are being chopped off, monster impaled and dudes choked out. It's one big fight scene and it's tons of fun. I even found myself, dare I say it, enjoying Angela. She doesn't feel shoehorned into this, which is kind spectacular. Guardians of the Galaxy has been a solid series and worthy addition to your pull list, and this issue is a great reminder as to why.

Tom Strong and the Planet of Peril #6 Review
It's been said before, but this series went on a little for too long. Tom Strong and the Planet of Peril started off, um, strong, but things started to drag. There were too many scenes of characters standing around, shaking hands and discussing the problem at hand. It was fun seeing the big, strange world and watching Tom Strong navigate through it, but might have over stayed its welcome. This is still a good issue of a fun series, but it would have been nice if this happened two months ago, as it were.
Dan Harmon Previews His Return to Community
Dan Harmon coming back to Community for Season 5 is something of a TV miracle. While there have been occasional times where a show’s creator has left and then come back later, it’s never been after they’ve been let go by the studio and network behind the series. But Community has never been a show to do things the normal or predictable way, and so after a season away, Harmon makes his big return to Community, accompanied by Chris McKenna -- who had left when Harmon was let go by Sony and NBC -- with the two now serving as co-showrunners.
A few days before Christmas, I had an in-depth conversation with Harmon about what it was like coming back to the series, which premieres this Thursday. We discussed how he approached the characters after a year away, how he dealt with Donald Glover's decision to leave Community this season and much more.
Nikita: Season 4 Review
Note: Full spoilers for the entirety of Nikita: Season 4 follow.
In the immortal words of e Reed, Team Nikita had a long way to go and a short time to get there. With only six episodes to wrap up this epic story of revenge and redemption, the writers had to reunite Nikita with her friends and get to taking down those dreaded doubles quickly. Fortunately, doing things way sooner than any other show would is one of the hallmarks of the always fast-paced, action-packed Nikita.
When we last left our heroes, Nikita was on the run after being framed for assassinating the president. Her friends wanted to help her, but she decided she couldn't let them risk their lives for her again. But when her plans went sideways, her pals were there to bail her out. It's only fair, seeing as how she's saved all of them either physically, spiritually or both.

Justice League Dark #26 Review
Forever Evil: Blight has circled back around to the pages of Justice League: Dark. In the last installment, the opening battle with Blight didn't go too well for John Constantine and his merry band. The conflict takes a few new twists and turns this time around, as the heroes regroup, betrayals are made, and the Sea King enters the battlefield. All of this helps to address the story's biggest flaw so far - that it just doesn't have the meat to sustain readers every week all the way through March 2014.
